Michael Ponce de Leon (1922-2006; Mexico)
He has exhibits in more than sixty museums in the United States and throughout Europe, and has been awarded over 65 purchase prices or medals

The Brooklyn Museum. The Musee de l’Arte Moderne in Paris; The Victoria and Albert Museum in London; The Stockholm Art Museum; Museo de Arte Moderno en Mexico; as well U.S. Embassies around the world.
Ponce de Leon serviced as a cartoonist with the U.S. Air Force during World War II. The US state Department sponsered his trip, 1967-1968, to India, Pakistan and Southeast Asia to encourage better relations through art. Writings of his travels are in the Smithsonian.
